Understanding How the Calendar Works
Your calendar on Take a Chef is more than just a scheduling tool—it’s your key to keeping everything organized and making sure you’re always ready to take on the next booking. In this guide, we’ve broken down everything you need to know to make the most of your calendar and ensure smooth sailing for your private chef business!
How it works
Your calendar is divided into three slots each day: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You get to choose which slots are open for Take a Chef reservations and which are reserved for your own business.
Here’s how to adjust your calendar step by step:
1. Go to your profile: Start by heading over to your profile section.
2. Click on "My Calendar": This will bring up your calendar.
3. Select the day you want to adjust: Click on the day you wish to customize.
4. Make your changes: Decide which meals you want to be available for booking.
Important: On any day that you haven't edited, all three meal slots are automatically set as available. If you want to make yourself unavailable for a meal, just click the green check mark next to that meal slot—it’ll turn gray to show that you're not available.
Remember to always save your changes by clicking on the yellow button!
Manual update & Auto-update
Manual: You’re in control! You can manually open or close any meal slot or date whenever it suits you. If you’ve got dates already booked through other channels, just mark those as unavailable on your calendar. This way, you won’t get new service requests for those times.
Auto-update: When a booking comes through Take a Chef, your calendar will automatically update. This means you won’t get requests for that date and time anymore. Plus, any previous proposals you sent out for that slot will be automatically canceled, so there’s no risk of double bookings.
By keeping your calendar up to date, you’ll be able to manage your time better, avoid scheduling conflicts, and make sure everything runs smoothly.
