Private Chef Manager Pro: The Complete Chef Guide
Everything you need to know about Private Chef Manager Pro, in one place. Each section links to a detailed article if you want to go deeper.
Plans, price, and what’s included
The Free plan ($0) gives you the essentials: a unified calendar, a centralized inbox, AI-powered proposals, the request manager, and a performance dashboard. The Pro plan ($29/month, no commitment) adds your own professional website with a custom domain, priority 24/7 support, a dedicated account manager, and advanced analytics. Upgrading is optional.
Commission and fees
Signing up and receiving requests is free. Take a Chef charges a 20% commission on each confirmed service (you keep 80%). A 2.9% service fee applies only to bookings through partner connections like Airbnb, not to your Take a Chef bookings.
How to go Pro and confirm it’s active
Log in to Private Chef Manager, click “Go Pro” in the top-right corner, choose the Pro Plan, and add your payment details. The top-right of your account shows “Free” or “Pro,” so you can confirm your plan at a glance. Your Pro features unlock once your profile is complete and approved.
Your professional website (Chef Site)
Pro includes a professional website with a custom domain. You choose one of two templates, and our team sets it up manually (there can be a short wait in busy periods). Any changes to the site are made by our team.
The Airbnb channel
With Pro you can connect the Airbnb channel from the Channels section to receive Airbnb Experiences requests inside Private Chef Manager. Listings take some time to be reviewed and approved.
Automatic proposals (Smart Proposal)
Smart Proposal sends proposals on your behalf, built from your menus and availability, when you’re unavailable to respond. You can edit any auto-sent proposal, and your Account Manager can turn the feature on or off.
Menus, pricing, and calendar
You set and adjust your own menu prices from your profile — Take a Chef never changes them automatically. Your calendar has three slots per day (breakfast, lunch, dinner); you open the ones you want, and any day you don’t edit stays fully open by default.
Getting paid
Payouts are processed within 48 business hours after the service date, by bank wire transfer (PayPal as an alternative if a wire isn’t possible). Saturdays, Sundays, and Spanish national holidays don’t count as business days. Keep your bank details current under Profile › Billing and payouts.
Reviews
About 24 hours after each service, your client is invited to review you. Only 4-star-and-above reviews are showcased publicly, but every grade counts toward your overall score. You can see your reviews from your public profile (“My website”).
Managing your membership
Pro renews monthly and can be cancelled anytime from Billing & Payouts › Payment Methods › Manage Payment Method › Cancel Subscription. For a refund, email info@privatechefmanager.com. If your benefits were deactivated, see “Why Your PRO Benefits Were Deactivated and How to Reactivate Them.”
