Planning a service but unsure about the exact dates? Don't worry.  At Take a Chef, we understand that scheduling can require a great deal of planning and coordination with your group. You can book a service on Take a Chef without committing to specific dates. Simply select a provisional date, note your flexibility in the Notes for the chef section, and the chef will confirm a date that works for both of you. That's why we offer a flexible solution that allows you to start planning your service without having to commit to specific dates from the start.

Single service or multiple service?

The first step is to determine whether you need a one-time service (single service) or multiple services (more than one service in one or more dates).

What should I do if I need a single service with flexible dates?

 

If you only need a specific service, such as one dinner or one lunch for a special occasion you can start by creating a service request on our platform in this link and select one of the possible dates for your service.

  • In the Notes for the chef section, indicate that the date is flexible and provide a range of dates when you're available, so the chef can determine which date suits them best and understands that the originally selected date may change.

    By informing the chef of your flexibility, we allow them to check their availability for your preferred dates and send you a tailored proposal.

    What should I do if I need multiple services with flexible or unknown dates?

    If you need multiple services and aren't sure of the dates or how many services you'll need, you can also create a service request to start the planning process.

  • Indicate the approximate dates and number of services.
  • In the Notes for the chef section, clarify that these details may change.

    • Chefs will quote based on the number of services you indicate. If the final number of services changes, the chef will update the proposal accordingly.

     

     

    What should I do after the service date is confirmed or changed?

    Once the chef has confirmed the final service date and updated the proposal price if the number of services changed, contact our support team. The support team will update your booking details in our system and send you confirmation of the changes.
