Chef Cancellation Policy
Cancellations create a bad experience for clients. We ask you to commit to honoring every confirmed service.
What Are Acceptable Reasons to Cancel a Confirmed Service?
Only in real emergencies:
- Medical issues or accidents
- Family emergencies
- Natural disasters or other proven causes.
What Reasons Are Not Acceptable for Cancelling?
- Outdated or incorrect calendar
- Double booking / overcommitting
- Deciding not to do the service without a valid reason
- Lack of organization or declining a booking after it has already been confirmed.
What Happens if You Cancel a Booking?
- You must inform us immediately and explain the reason.
- If the cancellation is justified, no penalty will apply.
- If the cancellation is unjustified, penalties will apply (see Possible Consequences of Unjustified Cancellations below).
What Are the Consequences of an Unjustified Cancellation?
- Fewer booking requests (lower score)
- Suspension of Automated Offer (temporary or permanent)
- Temporary suspension of your account
- Permanent removal from the platform (in repeat or serious cases).
How Can You Prevent Cancellations?
- Keep your calendar updated at all times
- Review client requests carefully before accepting
- Decline promptly if you are not available or the booking is not the right fit for you
- Communicate clearly and early.
By keeping your calendar accurate and committing to confirmed services, you’ll receive more requests, better reviews, and stronger client trust.
