Can I Add More Guests or Increase My Gift Card Budget?

Discover how to add extra people or increase the budget for your gift

You can modify a Take a Chef Gift Card to accommodate extra guests or a higher budget. This article explains how to make those changes depending on whether you have already redeemed your Gift Card.

Before redeeming your Gift Card

If you’ve received your Gift Card but haven’t redeemed it yet — or you’ve redeemed it but haven’t received a proposal — follow the steps below:

  1. Contact our Support Team: Our Customer Success Team will send you a payment link for the adjustments.
  2. Make the Changes: Use the payment link to add extra guests or increase the budget.
  3. New Gift Code: We'll send you an updated Gift Code reflecting the new number of guests or budget.

You can then redeem your updated Gift Code.

After redeeming your Gift Card

If you’ve already submitted your Gift Request and received a proposal, follow these steps:

  1. Inform the chef: Once you’ve selected your chef, share the changes you need — such as adding guests or increasing the budget.
  2. The chef will confirm the additional cost and send you a money request through Take a Chef.
  3. Complete the payment: Use the payment link to finalise the updates.

Money requests are sent through the official Take a Chef website or by a Take a Chef agent, if you receive any other external request for money notify our support team immediatelly.

That’s it! Your booking will be updated, the chef will be notified, and you’ll be all set to enjoy your event with your extra guests.
