Our Story
Take a Chef began back in 2012 from a home office in Madrid, fueled by the dream of bringing guests and chefs together to share their passion for food in the most comfortable seat: their homes.
From our humble start, we’ve grown into a global network of private chefs and a referent in the category. We expanded from Spain across Europe in 2014, then brought our services to the Latin American market through Mexico in 2015. By 2016, we arrived at our current biggest market: North America. In 2017, we were connecting private chefs and guests in Africa and Oceania, and in 2018, we had our first service in Southern Asia.
It’s been more than 10 years and we have faced many challenges on the way, from the lack of awareness of our category, to global crises that sent ripples through every industry. Storms blew and odd waned, but through it all we have found a way to stay open and keep growing every year, thanks to our team and our community.
As of today, we have made it possible for over 45,000 private chefs like you to connect with clients in 140 countries, from New York to Bali, London to Buenos Aires. We believe this is just the beginning of our journey and that with your on board, both our brands can reach new heights.
