Types of Service Requests
Increase your chances of receiving bookings that align perfectly with your availability and preferences.
Whether it's a special dinner party, prepaid gift, or week-long culinary adventure, every service request opens doors to new opportunities for chefs. In this article, you'll learn more about these different types of requests to tailor your offerings and attract more clients.
Single Services
These are one-off events like anniversary celebrations or dinner parties. Your proposal should include a menu, a pricing quote (including the cost of raw materials and your service), and, if applicable, any extra services you offer, like children's menus, drinks, or server hire. This makes your proposal stand out and helps clients find everything they need for their event.
Prepaid Services
In prepaid services, just like regular services, clients submit requests and receive three proposals. They choose one, and since payment has been made in advance, the selected chef can proceed with the order.
Prepaid services fall into two categories: gifts and vouchers.
Gifts: When clients want to gift a private chef experience, they prepay for the service. The recipient receives a code to redeem on our website. Identify these services by the fixed number of guests and the budget disclaimer.
Vouchers: Similar to gifts, vouchers are prepaid and come from partnerships or special campaigns. Identify them by the fixed price and number of diners. Check the "Take a Chef Notes" section for important instructions.
Multiple Services
A client might need you for several meals over a day or a week. For these, you’re quoting for your time and skills. Important: Clients pay you directly for groceries.
Chef's Tip: Always keep grocery receipts to present to the client. If you're not sure if a service is single or multiple, check if you’re able to send a menu proposal. If you can send a menu proposal, then it’s a single service.
Partner Services
Take a Chef collaborates with businesses aiming to offer chef services to their customers. Partner services can help you grow your network, increase your flow of requests, and elevate your brand.
Not sure how to identify them? Pay attention to the pop-up message that displays the partner commission rate (8% to 20%) and notifies you that it is a partner service. You can learn more about it in our Partnerships section.
