How to plan your event with an uncertain guest list

Planning an event is an exciting journey. While having a clear guest list is great, we know that sometimes plans change. Let's dive into handling a flexible guest count and creating a memorable event.
How to place your order if you're unsure of the guest count:
While it's ideal to know the final guest count before placing your service request, we understand that sometimes it's difficult to get an exact number. Here's what you can do:
1. Place your order:
Start by placing your service request within the platform.
For single services select the range with the closest estimated guest count.
The chef will be able to adjust the price within the proposal and tailor it to your modifications. During checkout, simply select your final guest count, and the platform will show the correct quote and calculate the total automatically.
For multiple services, the platform will request that you select a specific number of guests instead of a range. If you are unsure about the final guest count we recommend selecting the closest approximate number.
For multiple services, quotes will be based on the total guest count and the total services you are requesting. If your guest count changes, your chef will be able to adjust the quote within the proposal accordingly however, the final guest count will not be updated as this part of the request can’t be edited.
2. Inform your chef:
In the "notes to the chef" section, let your chef know that the guest count is an estimate and may change. It's also crucial to use the message section to inform the chef of any modifications made to the booking. This will allow them to make the necessary adjustments and ensure a smooth dining experience for you and your guests.
3. Adjustable rates:
Note that the price per person may vary slightly if the final guest count differs from your initial estimate.
What if I need to change the guest count after confirming my order?
No worries! If you already discussed the modification with your chef in the messages section of the platform and got their approval you can modify the guest count at any time.
- Increasing the guest count: If you need to add more guests, simply contact our customer success team and we'll send you a payment link to cover the additional cost.
- Decreasing the guest count: If some guests can't make it, make sure to contact our support team and we will help you contact the chef to find a solution.
