# Can I Request Additional Chef Proposals?
## Learning how to get fresh proposals
After submitting your request, you’ll receive up to 8 proposals. If none of them feel like the perfect fit—whether due to the price, menu, or the chef’s profile—you can easily [chat](https://helpcenter.takeachef.com/how-to-contact-a-chef?hsLang=en) directly with the chefs to discuss adjustments. They’ll be happy to work with you to customize the menu to your liking.
If you’d still like to explore more options, simply click the trash bin icon to decline a proposal. This will open the door for other chefs to send fresh proposals that might better suit your preferences.
Steps to Decline A Proposal:
1. Click on the **Trash Can** Icon.
2. Select the **Reason** and click on **Confirm Cancellation**.
Chefs may be busy cooking at other services, so please give them a little time to reply. If none of the proposals suit you, message the chefs and ask them for other menu ideas, or decline the proposals and new chefs will be able to send you proposals.
